Silk & Heritage FCT was established in 2017 along Yakubu Gowon Crescent by a textile conservator trained in Isfahan, Iran, alongside an Abuja-based fine art restorer. They identified a tragic trend: valuable diplomatic heirloom carpets worth tens of thousands of dollars were being permanently ruined by conventional cleaners using harsh alkaline laundry detergents and harsh scrubbing brushes.
We introduced Abuja's first zero-water extraction laboratory. Using organic plant-based saponins, pH-controlled moisture management, and laser micro-dust extraction, we restore natural luster, lock dyes in place, and apply natural cedar oils to repel destructive tropical moth larvae.
